2023-24 Season

What are the age groups?

Cricket Blast – 4-8 years old, but based on skill level

Girls & Boys – Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s & Under 16s

Girls only – Stage 1 (approx 8-12 years old) & Stage 2 (approx 11-15 years old), but based on skill level

Seniors – 15 years and over

What is the age cut off date?

For Juniors (Under 10s-16s), players must be under the age as at 1 September 2023. 

How much does it cost to register?

Cricket Blast – $100

Under 10 – $110

Stage One Girls – $110

Under 12 – $135

Stage Two Girls – $135

Under 14 – $160

Under 16 – $160

Seniors – $185

Seniors casual (max six games) – $110 

Where do I register to play?

Can I use my Active Kids vouchers?

Yes. This can be done through online registration where active kids vouchers are available to you.

What clothing do I need for playing?

Cricket Blast - any pants/shorts, Bosco t-shirt and Bosco cap.

Juniors - Long white cricket pants, Bosco playing shirt and Bosco cap.

Don't forget sunscreen, water bottle and snack.

Is any clothing provided?

Cricket Blast in their first season with the Club receive a free Bosco t-shirt and cap.

Juniors in their first season with the Club receive a free playing shirt.

How much does club clothing cost?

Playing shirt – $20

Cap – $25

Wide-brim hat – $20

Baggy Blue cap – $65

Training shorts - $30

Is equipment provided?

All our team kits are equipped with playing equipment such as bats, gloves, pads & helmets. 

What equipment do I need to bring?

A groin protector is essential. Many players like to bring their own equipment (especially a bat) but all the necessary equipment is provided. 

When are the games played?

Cricket Blast– Saturdays 8:00am

Juniors – Saturdays 8:00 am or 10:30am

Seniors - Saturday afternoons (1:15 to ~ 5:30)

How long does a game go for?

Cricket Blast – 1.5 hours

Under 10, Under 12 C/D, and Stage 1 Girls – 2-2.5 hours

Under 12 A/B, Under 14, and Under 16  – 3.5 hours

Seniors ~ 4 hours

When does the season start?

Cricket Blast – 7 October 2023

Juniors – 9 September 2023

Girls only – 7 October 2023

Is there a break over Christmas?

The final game before Christmas is 16 December 2023

The first game back is TBA (likely 27 January 2024)

When is training?

Times and days to be confirmed. Most training is on a Friday afternoon at Boys Town Oval. 

What do parents do?

While each team will have a manager and coach, we cannot survive without parental help at games and training.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO GROUND DUTY

What sort of help can parents give?

Setting up stumps, sweeping the pitch, laying out hats/markers for boundaries, scoring (where able), umpiring (where able), setting up chairs & putting away. Assisting in organising players when needed. 

What about coaches/managers?

Coaches and managers will be announced once teams are allocated. If you are interested please contact a committee member. 

Can you tell me which team or grade my child will be in?

We cannot be certain until all players are registered & available. There will be a grading day held on Sunday 20th of August 2023. Times to be advised.
